Gigabyte is offering a return and exchange service for two power supply units (PSUs) after complaints of "exploding" or product failure. PSU reviewer Aristeidis Bitziopoulos and Nexus Gamers both found that Gigabyte's GP-P850GM and GP-P750GM models can fail catastrophically, with some sparking and others coming from a dead box. These models have been the subject of many negative reviews on Newegg and were previously a mandatory item with RTX 30 cards. After months of testing the two PSUs, Nexus Belize Phone Number List Gamers found an unexpectedly high failure rate. Of the PSUs Nexus Gamers sourced or purchased from YouTube viewers, 50 percent of the GP-P750GM failed. Nexus Gamers even managed to fry a Gigabyte RTX 3080 card during the test, although it is not clear whether this is directly related to the PSU failure or not. Gigabyte has responded to the findings (by Kotaku ), while casting doubt on them. We have been notified by third parties of concerns about potential stuttering issues with the GP-P850GM.ng time," but Nexus Gamers responded in a video titled "Gigabyte dangerously misrepresents the truth about the power supply explosion." Gamers Nexus claims that it only enabled OPP during testing on each power supply, and this should not be enough for the PSU to fail. Gigabyte now adjusts the OPP trigger point on both the GP-P850GM and GP-P750GM, and the 850W model now runs at 1300W instead of the 1050W limit. The 750W model also has a reduced OPP trigger limit of 925 watts, down from the previous 1125W limit.
